Job summary

Barrios Technology is seeking a Junior Systems Engineer to support design, development, integration, and testing of advanced spaceflight systems alongside experienced engineers and partners. This role offers exposure to NASA and commercial space programs across multiple platforms.

The ideal candidate has a BS in engineering and up to five years of experience, with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering from an accredited school with 0–5 years of experience.
• Knowledge of space systems.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), integration, coordination and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to requirements validation, product development, integration, verification, and deployment.
• Perform concept trade studies, requirements management, test & verification, and modeling/analysis as required.
• Create/evaluate designs to meet customer satisfaction and engineering principles.
• Lead relationships with customer counterparts, requirement owners, and teammates to promote mission success.
• Support engineering activities such as requirements identification, development, verification, and tracking.
• Develop processes/strategies to support cross-functional teams for spacecraft engineering or operations.
• Provide technical systems knowledge during major project milestones and reviews.
• Perform all other assigned duties.
