Job summary

Nbutexas, a prestigious Downtown eatery, is seeking a seasoned Sous Chef to lead culinary operations and elevate kitchen performance. You will manage line cooks, uphold quality standards, and collaborate with the executive chef to execute seasonal menus.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of kitchen experience, 1+ year in upper kitchen leadership, strong communication, and a proven track record in training teams while maintaining BOH compliance, schedules, and inventory control.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in various kitchen positions.
• Minimum 1 year in upper kitchen leadership positions (sous chef or manager).
• Strong communicator and trainer.
• Knowledge of laws and standards for all BOH procedures.
• Ability to uphold standards for all BOH positions.
• Experience training and developing a team.
• General understanding of weekly sales and P&L objectives.
• Knowledge of inventories, scheduling and event management.
