Job Title: Junior Sous Chef
Location: Dudley’s, New York City
Compensation: $70,000–$75,000 + Performance Bonus + Full Benefits

Dudley’s, a high-volume, upscale restaurant in the Lower East Side, is seeking a driven and dependable Junior Sous Chef to join our leadership team. This is a great opportunity for a skilled line cook or kitchen supervisor ready to step into a structured leadership role in a fast-paced, professional kitchen.

The Role:
The Junior Sous Chef supports the senior kitchen leadership in all aspects of BOH operations, with a strong focus on consistency, cleanliness, and team accountability. This is a hands-on position for someone who leads by example, maintains high standards, and thrives in a busy, organized environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing daily prep and service execution
  • Supervise and support line cooks, ensuring standards are upheld
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety standards
  • Help with inventory, ordering, and receiving as needed
  • Communicate effectively with the team to keep operations running smoothly
  • Uphold kitchen systems and contribute to a positive, disciplined work environment

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of experience in a high-volume, upscale kitchen
  • Strong cooking and prep skills, with an eye for consistency and detail
  • Comfortable giving direction and stepping into leadership roles during service
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and lift/carry up to 50 lbs
  • NYC Food Protection Certificate preferred
  • Professional demeanor and team-first mentality
