Job summary

Samsung C&T Renewables America seeks a Project Junior Developer to develop and manage solar and energy storage portfolios across the MISO and PJM regions, coordinating with interconnection, permitting, real estate, GIS, legal and engineering teams to achieve project goals.

The role requires 2+ years of project development experience in solar/renewable energy or real estate, a Bachelor's Degree, and the ability to work with a global team delivering large-scale energy solutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project development in solar, renewable energy, or real estate sectors (MISO/PJM preferred).
• Permitting expertise preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree required; international collaboration experience a plus.
• Experience working with a global team delivering large-scale energy solutions.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate suitable sites and negotiate with landowners.
• Engage with landowners, community leaders, and environmental groups throughout development.
• Manage development activities from feasibility to start of construction.
• Oversee zoning, environmental, permitting, land rights entitlements and compliance processes.
• Engage, manage, and direct third-party consultants and development partners.
• Develop viable solar or BESS projects and ensure progress within schedule and budget.
• Stay informed on renewable energy opportunities and industry trends in the US.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
