Job summary

Samsung C&T America, Inc. is seeking a Project Developer to grow the solar and energy storage portfolio across the MISO and PJM regions. The role requires coordinating a remote, distributed team with interconnection, permitting, real estate, GIS, legal and engineering functions to reach project goals.

You will work with landowners, consultants and partners to move projects from feasibility through construction, ensuring schedules and budgets are met while staying abreast of industry trends.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project development experience in MISO or PJM, preferably in solar or renewable energy sectors.
• Permitting expertise preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate sites and negotiate landowner transactions.
• Engage with landowners and communities to share information during development.
• Manage development activities from feasibility to construction start.
• Oversee zoning, environmental, permitting, land rights, and compliance.
• Coordinate third‑party consultants and partners.
• Develop viable solar or BESS projects with economic viability.
• Define scope of work and track progress against schedule and budget.
• Monitor national renewable energy trends affecting project opportunities.
• Carry out other duties as assigned
