Job summary

LegalShieldCorp is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to backend and full-stack initiatives, focusing on IBM i components with RPG/SQLRPGLE/CLP. You will learn modern integration patterns while collaborating across teams to deliver reliable software.

You will work with Node.js and C#/.NET knowledge, applying AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development while maintaining code quality and security.

Qualifications

• 0-5 years of industry experience in software engineering.
• Degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Foundational knowledge of RPG, SQLRPGLE, and/or CLP for IBM i.
• Experience with modern web/backend tech (Node.js, C#/.NET) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend systems on IBM i using RPG, SQLRPGLE, and CLP.
• Integrate IBM i applications with DB2 for i and enterprise systems.
• Understand SQL-based data access patterns and ensure quality delivery.
• Deliver code with unit tests and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Learn and apply agentic AI coding tools under senior guidance.
