Job summary
Randa Apparel & Accessories is seeking a Sr Software Engineer to design, develop, and modernize IBM iSeries applications. You will work with RPG, SQLRPGLE, CL, and DB2 for iSeries to support ERP, WMS, and supply chain needs, collaborating across departments.
The role emphasizes automation, APIs, and secure, scalable solutions in a hybrid setting. Reporting to the Director of IT Applications, you’ll mentor peers and contribute to modernization initiatives while aligning with Waterfall and Agile
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- 5–10 years IBM i/AS400 development experience.
- Experience building and maintaining RPG-based applications.
- Strong knowledge of DB2 for iSeries and SQLRPGLE.
- Familiarity with batch processing, ERP/WMS systems is a plus.
- Proven ability to gather requirements from stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and support IBM iSeries apps using RPG and CL.
- Modernize legacy RPG to free-format and service-programs.
- Integrate with APIs, EDI, and web services across systems.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Finance, Distribution, and Manufacturing.
- Mentor engineers and enforce coding standards and security.
