Job summary

MANTECH in Doral, FL is seeking a Junior Software Developer who will contribute to backend and frontend development, RESTful services, and database work. The role involves Agile ceremonies, debugging, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

A strong foundation in at least one modern language and exposure to HTML/CSS/JS is expected. The candidate will assist in containerization, automated deployments, and documentation efforts while growing skills in React or other front-end frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related STEM field with 1+ year of software development OR an Associate’s degree with 3+ years of experience OR a high school diploma with 5+ years of experience.
• Foundational experience in at least one modern programming language (Python, Java, C#, or C++).
• Basic familiarity with front-end tech (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).

Responsibilities

• Write clean, maintainable backend code and RESTful APIs.
• Assist in frontend UI development and unit testing.
• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects to ensure reliable software.
• Develop and optimize relational database scripts and queries.
• Containerize applications and assist with deployments and version control workflows.
• Create and update user documentation and system diagrams.
