Job summary

Amazon in Doral, Florida is seeking an experienced software engineer to design and implement enterprise applications using Java/J2EE and modern web technologies.

You will collaborate with analysts, developers, and test engineers, develop and debug complex code, and ensure compliance with design patterns and SOA principles. Candidates should have 8–10 years of experience, a CS/IT degree, and strong skills in Java, Oracle, JUnit, Agile, and RESTful services.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in software development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Proficiency with Java/J2EE and REST/Web Services.
• Experience with Oracle SQL/PL/SQL and Maven.
• Familiarity with Agile processes and tools (JIRA, HP ALM).
• Knowledge of SOA, 508 ADA compliance, and coding standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with analysts, developers, and test engineers to deliver high-quality software.
• Independently write, test, modify, and debug applications of varying complexity.
• Integrate software into new or modified environments and troubleshoot production issues.
• Assist junior staff with specifications, coding, testing, and debugging.
• Develop acceptance tests with business users to validate customer requirements.
• Support process improvements and documentation updates.
