Job summary

Visionist, Inc. is seeking a Junior Software Engineer focused on AI, on a premier PRIME contract to design agentic Python integrations with multiple AI models and data sources.

You will join analysts and engineers delivering rapid iterations and production-ready workflows on a mission-driven platform. You will implement tools using PydanticAI, LangGraph, and DeepAgents, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure robust data handling, API interactions, and clear results presentation to customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
• 3 years of experience in Software Engineering
• Experience with Python, JSON handling, REST APIs, and data manipulation
• Experience with HTTP-based APIs to access data
• Knowledge of AI development concepts including prompt engineering, context management, structured outputs, and tool/function calling
• Familiarity with Git, Jira and Confluence
• Experience presenting data analysis results to customers

Responsibilities

Salary range: $115,000 - $135,000
