Job Description: Software Engineer

Location: Herndon, VA

The successful candidate will formulate and define specifications for complex operating software applications or modify and maintain existing applications using engineering releases and utilities from the manufacturer. Responsibilities include designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting programs, as well as providing overall operating system maintenance, such as sophisticated file routines, telecommunications networks, computer accounting, and scientific software packages. The role involves supporting all phases of software systems programming and evaluating new and existing software products.

Requirements

• Open to candidates with all levels of experience; experience with Java is considered equivalent.
• Must possess a DoD Top Secret clearance (Cinteot will sponsor upgrades to SCI and CI Poly).
• CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent IAT-II level certification (must be obtained within 6 months of start date).
• Experience with MS SQL Server (2008 required, 2012 desired).
• Knowledge of CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery is a plus.
• Experience with T-SQL, including writing SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Knowledge of client-side technologies such as JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, and CSS.
• Knowledge of .NET framework and ability to work with C#, ASP.NET, WCF, MVC, and ADO.NET.
• Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio.
• Experience with Team Foundation Server for source control and build management is a plus.
