Junior Software Engineer

What You Will Do

As a Junior Software Engineer, you will develop large-scale (terabytes) distributed data processing applications to meet our client’s critical and complex mission needs. You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary Agile development team well-versed in modern software development and utilizing cloud-based technologies to support our growing user base in operations. Your responsibilities include large-scale data manipulation, data modeling, data mapping, data presentation, data testing, and data quality. You will leverage open-source libraries for ETL processes, as well as provide analytical, operational, database, and maintenance support for government data and systems. Your insights will be vital to navigate our client’s evolving requirements as the Intelligence Community advances into the next age of innovation.

What You Will Need (Basic Qualifications)

1. At least 1 year of experience as a software developer working with Java, C++, or related languages.
2. Proven ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
3. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.

Nice to Haves (Preferred)

• Experience with Linux, Tomcat, Jira/Confluence, Jenkins, GIT, RDBMS, messaging/queuing technologies, ElasticSearch, and/or Apache Solr.
• Experience with web services, JavaScript frameworks, and web application development.
• Programming experience in Go or willingness to learn.
• Experience with AWS cloud solutions and serverless frameworks.
• Experience with frontend frameworks such as Typescript, Vue, Angular, or React.

Security Clearance

Active TS Security Clearance with the eligibility and willingness to obtain SCI and polygraph.
