We are looking for a junior software developer to provide engineering support across the Ship/Submarine Environment & Missile Simulation (SEMS) lifecycle, including design, development, testing (integration, verification, validation, accreditation), analysis, and maintenance of all SEMS real-time simulation configurations.

Clearance

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience (e.g., internship or senior project) in programming (e.g., C++, Python, MATLAB).

Responsibilities

  • Support Tomahawk modernization efforts, addressing obsolescence issues, and delivering updated SEMS configurations to customers.
  • Provide software engineering and integration, focusing on designing, developing, and testing new SEMS capabilities, reviewing requirements, and supporting missile simulation development.
  • Participate in test and evaluation activities, interacting with stakeholders and supporting SEMS utilization within the Weapon System Computer Integration Lab (WSCIL) for weapon system testing.

Preferred Skills And Experience

  • Strong academic foundation in applied mathematics or physical sciences, including coursework beyond introductory calculus (e.g., differential equations, linear algebra); candidates should be comfortable applying mathematical and physical principles to technical analysis and tool development.
  • The candidate should be proficient in C++ and have additional experience with Python, MatLab, Git, or associated Atlassian products and Java language programming.

Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a closely related technical discipline preferred but not required

Compensation

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $64,500 - $95,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
