Job summary

Alyeska Resort in Girdwood, Alaska, is seeking a Junior Ski & Snowboard Pro to teach alpine skiing or snowboarding to children and adults of all levels, focusing on fundamentals and on-mountain safety. Extensive training is provided for candidates with varying experience.

The role emphasizes guest service, safety, and building connections with guests, with an inclusive culture and opportunities to grow within the Mountain Sports School.

Qualifications

Graduate of the Junior Instructor Training Program is preferred.
Able to commit to working 14 days during the winter season.
Must be 14 years of age or older.
Advanced skiing and/or snowboarding skills.
Passionate about mountain sports.
Positive can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

Work closely and shadow a certified Senior Instructor in all areas according to individual student goals and abilities.
Assist in teaching and demonstrating skiing/riding to classes in a safe environment using a variety of teaching and ski/ride techniques.
Provide exceptional guest service while always maintaining safety as a priority
Work collaboratively with fellow employees and independently with groups of students.
Attend training and shadow upper-level lessons.
