Job summary

KBR is seeking a Jr. Signal Processing Engineer to collaborate with stakeholders on design, development, and research of interfaces, ensuring all subsystems are integrated into a viable system. You will validate mission requirements and provide feedback to subsystem teams for critical decisions.

The role emphasizes MATLAB-based modeling, data organization, and customer-facing technical guidance, with opportunities to contribute across multiple teams and projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain CI Poly
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• 0–3 years of relevant experience (internships/co-ops applicable)
• Experience with MATLAB signal processing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter who can partner with teammates
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply MATLAB tools to compute metrics (SNR, optical blur, motion)
• Organize results in databases and presentations for stakeholders
• Understand MATLAB models of electro-optical components (focus, optics, atmospherics)
• Set up and run MATLAB-based models and verify results
• Serve as customer interface and provide technical guidance
• Carry out assignments using standard engineering processes
• Plan and coordinate engineering functions for design, install, test, and integration
• Contribute to technical reports and proposals
