Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a System Administrator 3 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit. You will monitor, maintain, and test electronic security systems and support IT systems for endpoint devices at a Washington DC area site.

The role requires Top Secret clearance, strong Windows AD management, and experience with VMware, Citrix Xen Desktop, and security standards (STIGs, IA). Travel up to 10% and a collaborative, customer-focused approach are expected.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance required.
• 5+ years of progressive system administrator experience.
• 5+ years of experience with Physical Access Control Systems.
• Experience managing Windows Active Directory hierarchy.
• Strong knowledge of Windows patching and vulnerability remediation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and test physical access control and CCTV systems.
• Support IT systems for endpoint devices.
• Provide Tier 2 escalation and status communication.
• Manage Active Directory and Windows server configurations.
• Configure virtualization hosts (VMware, Hypervisor) and VDI (Citrix Xen Desktop).
• Perform system backups, log reviews, and preventive maintenance.
• Create SOPs and technical documentation.
• Travel up to 10% annually.
