Job summary

KBR is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to support RF system software across research and DoD programs. The role emphasizes mentoring and growth as you work with systems engineers and hardware teams to implement, test, and analyze PNT capabilities in constructive, lab, and field environments.

You will collaborate across system, algorithm, and integration boundaries while developing software for simulations, models, and performance analyses, in a fast-paced, security-conscious setting in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• 0–2 years of professional software development experience on technical systems (internships/co-ops acceptable).
• Proficiency in C#/C++ or Python.
• Experience on Linux and Windows software.
• Familiarity with GNSS, timing, and sensor fusion concepts.
• Ability to integrate software with complex systems and external hardware.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance.
• Proven ability to participate in technical interchange meetings.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, test, and document software for simulations and performance analyses.
• Implement algorithms and models under guidance across various environments.
• Integrate algorithms within software frameworks.
• Interface software with hardware- and software-in-the-loop environments.
• Develop interfaces between software components and external systems.
• Support test planning, execution, and analysis of PNT-focused experiments.
• Collaborate with systems engineers to align software with requirements.
• Document implementations, interfaces, and test results for reviews.
