Job summary

Hatch seeks a Junior Rail Systems Engineer to contribute to the design, testing, and commissioning of rail signal and train control systems in Seattle. You will work with an elite group of rail systems professionals on North American projects across heavy rail and transit markets.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, 0–2 years of experience, and abilities in software/electronics integration, analysis, and clear communication.

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of professional engineering experience.
  • Experience involving software development, electronics, machinery, or multi‑discipline integration.
  • Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills.

  • Interest in technical writing.

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Rail Systems Engineer to join our Transit group in Seattle and contribute to the design, testing, and commissioning of rail signal and train control systems.

Responsibilities
  • Work with an elite group of rail systems design professionals focusing on North American projects, with opportunities in both heavy rail and transit markets.
  • Participate in signals and train control systems design, testing, and commissioning activities on various transportation projects.
  • Collaborate with team members locally and globally to accomplish project objectives.
Qualifications
