Senior Project Manager – Signals and Train Control

Location: Dallas, TX.

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Manager to join our North American Infrastructure group in the Rail Systems team. The role focuses on managing rail systems design and oversight for transit rail projects in coordination with Hatch's global rail systems practice.

Responsibilities
  • Provide design and technical integration leadership to large‑scale rail infrastructure projects, steering a team of multidisciplinary integration professionals to deliver a complete, functional, safe, and integrated rail system design.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and technical guidance to staff, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure the delivery of quality technical services and adherence to operating performance targets.
  • Manage project production, changes, client relations, and financial management to ensure quality, client satisfaction, and profitability across projects.
  • Oversee project delivery from design to construction and construction oversight.
  • Provide industry guidance through presentations, committee leadership, and participation in standards development.
  • Assist in pursuits, client relationship building, and building the technical practice, including recruiting staff in rail systems areas.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Professional engineering license (highly preferred).
  • 10 years of experience with at least 5 years in engineering management roles.
  • Knowledge of US (FTA & FRA), CENELEC, and ISO rail delivery standards and practices.
  • In‑depth knowledge of engineering management, systems engineering, asset management, operations management, and quality management in the railway environment.
  • Career foundation in Rail Systems design and systems engineering; familiarity with rail operations, stations, track, and other civil aspects.
  • Career focus on signals and advanced train control systems is highly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience training, developing staff, and educating clients.
  • Ability to collaborate on innovative project solutions.
