Job summary

Crown Technical Systems in Dallas, Texas, is seeking a Junior Quality Control Inspector to support the Low Voltage Switchgear Department. You will perform quality control throughout the production process, with a focus on mechanical and wiring, and ensure products meet drawings and specifications during all phases of fabrication.

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Inspector documents inspection results, prepares reports and checklists, and coordinates corrective actions.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of quality inspections in fabrication/manufacturing, welding emphasis.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects with attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections and tests of incoming materials, in‑process production, and finished products per drawings.
• Verify and document item counts against supplier counts; report discrepancies.
• Identify faults using observation and testing.
• Document results with inspection reports, logs, and checklists.
• Input corrective actions into the database and recommend remedies.
• Communicate with supervisor on recommendations.
• Maintain quality records.
• Keep inspection equipment operating; notify management when repairs are needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
