Job summary

remarqable is seeking an entry-level Python developer in the Minneapolis area to help build backend services and REST APIs powering our AI-driven SaaS tools. You’ll work closely with a small local team, mentor, and gain ownership of core features within a startup context.

You’ll contribute to open-source workflows, collaborate in person in downtown Minneapolis, and grow quickly by shipping real-world SaaS architecture and services.

Qualifications

• Basic experience with Python and hands-on coding projects counts.
• Familiarity with SQL databases, REST APIs, and CLI tools.
• Willingness to learn real-world dev workflows (GitHub, issue tracking, testing).
• Interest in open-source/startups/SaaS development; in-person collaboration in Twin Cities.

Responsibilities

• Build backend services and REST APIs in Python for sparQ’s apps.
• Work with databases like PostgreSQL and SQLite; ensure performance.
• Contribute to a GitHub-driven open-source project with clean docs.
