Job summary

The BIT, LLC in St. Louis is seeking an entry-level Software Developer to design and code software solutions for the Aeronautical Navigation Office. Candidates should be proficient in Python and have familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript, Docker, and AWS Cloud, plus experience with JSON APIs.

The role involves GitLab version control, DevOps practices, Agile ceremonies, OCR/ML data processing, and API/database work with React front-ends; ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience with Python.
• Experience with modern JavaScript development framework.
• Experience with unit testing, continuous integration tools, and Gitlab version control
• Proactive self-starter demonstrates a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in either software development projects or software integration projects in a service-oriented environment (Cloud, SOA, Web-Services) or virtualization environment.
• Requires BS degree and2+years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2years of prior relevant experience; OR 4 years of related experience.
• Organizational Skills: Can plan and prioritize work. Follow tasks to their logical conclusion and make sure that everything has been done to the right standard. Good attention to detail.
• Communications: Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with team members and clients, verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Developing configurations and features for processing SoN data through OCR and ML applications.
• API development and database integration for interaction with React frameworks.
• Using GitLab for version control and applying DevOps practices within an Agile construct.
• Collaborate with team to test and deliver features per User Story Acceptance Criteria.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (standups, planning, increment planning) to support project goals.
