Job summary

re-zoo-me is seeking a Junior Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows. You will transform and load data from multiple sources into enterprise platforms, write SQL, and collaborate with data scientists and engineers.

The role targets early-career IT professionals with 0–4 years of experience, and requires relocation to Atlanta, GA for paid training, with travel to engagements across the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
• 1–4 years of professional experience in software development, data engineering, analytics, or a related technical role.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Scala, or SQL.
• Understanding of relational databases, SQL, and data modeling concepts.
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming and basic software development principles.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and database fundamentals.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Hive, Airflow, or Snowflake is preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Atlanta, GA for the paid training program and travel or relocate as required for client engagements across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Collect, transform, validate, and load data from multiple sources into enterprise data platforms.
• Write efficient SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.
• Assist in building and optimizing data warehouses and cloud-based data solutions.
• Support data integration, data quality, and data governance initiatives.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to deliver data-driven solutions.
• Monitor data pipelines, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
• Follow software development best practices, including version control and Agile methodologies.
