Job summary

JCDecaux North America seeks a Junior Purchasing Buyer for the Empire State Building office in New York, operating in a hybrid work model. You will source and purchase goods and services for custom-designed products across Street Furniture, Airport, and Mall programs.

The role reports to the Director of Program Management and requires at least 2 years of purchasing experience, the ability to read engineering drawings, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Purchasing.
• Community College/Technical School Degree preferred.
• Ability to interpret Engineering drawings.
• Experience using Excel to generate reports and charts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Extremely organized and efficient.
• General understanding of Purchasing & Invoice process flow.

Responsibilities

• Obtain quotes from suppliers and create purchase orders in our SAP ERP system.
• Oversee open PO’s, supplier confirmations, and delivery commitments.
• Collaborate closely with the Purchasing and Finance Teams to effectively meet process flow requirements.
• Conduct Annual Supplier Evaluations.
• Coordinate Purchase Requests with external Operations Staff across the country.
• Manage all Departmental Expense Type purchases.
• Maintain accurate PO and Material Master data in SAP.

The Role

JCDecaux is currently seeking a Junior Purchasing Buyer, who will report to the Director of Program Management. This position is on the manufacturing side of the business. You will be sourcing and purchasing goods & services for custom-designed products, that will be utilized for our Street Furniture, Airport, and Mall programs.

This is a full-time position based in our main office at the Empire State Building and will operate in a hybrid work model.

Additional Information

Base Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000.
