Job summary

SMX Space and Intelligence is seeking a Jr. Project Manager to join the team delivering OPIR data processing and end-to-end software workflows for Missile Warning and related missions.

The role is on-site in Boulder, CO, five days per week, with the opportunity to work on challenging defense programs and collaborative teams. The ideal candidate holds a BS or higher in business or a related field, has 3+ years in project engineering or program management, and maintains an active Interim DoD

Qualifications

• Active Interim DoD Secret Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
• BS or advanced degree in Business Administration or related field.
• 3+ years in project engineering, program management, or finance (Masters/PhD adds 2 years).
• Experience managing software development programs in defense/aerospace, especially as a subcontractor.
• Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle on government programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as secondary contact to the customer.
• Develop and analyze cost reports.
• Assist with contract management and setup in financial software.
• Create CDRLs and support ROM/proposals.
• Support status and customer meetings; manage dependencies and risks.
• Prepare monthly status reports and schedule development.
• Assist in program startup phases and establish infrastructure.
• Lead program team members and manage 10+ staff.
