Job summary

SMX is seeking a Jr. Project Manager to join the Space & Intelligence BU in Boulder, CO. You will help lead multi-team efforts delivering OPIR data processing infrastructure and software solutions for national security missions.

The role requires an active DoD Secret clearance, a relevant degree, and 3+ years in project/program management or finance. On-site five days a week, with a salary range of $115,000 to $135,000 USD.

Qualifications

• Active Interim DoD Secret Clearance required; U.S. Citizenship and background screen.
• BS or advanced degree in Business Administration or another relevant field.
• 3+ years of experience in project engineering, program management, or finance roles (advanced degree adds 2 years).
• Experience managing software development programs in defense/aerospace, especially as a subcontractor.
• Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle on government programs.
• Experience with PM tools such as MS Project and MS Office Suite.
• Experience supervising 10+ personnel.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Program Leadership; serve as secondary customer contact.
• Cost Report development and analysis; ROM and proposal support.
• Contract management including setup in financial software, mod reviews, funding runout tracking, EAC/VAC analysis.
• CDRL generation and status meetings; supporting customer communications.
• ROM and Proposal support; dependencies and risk tracking.
• Monthly status reports; schedule development.
• Program startup support to establish infrastructure and ensure contract compliance.
• People leadership of SMX Space & Intelligence BU employees on assigned programs.
