Job summary

SMX Space & Intelligence in Boulder, CO seeks a Jr. Project Manager to support space-ground programs, lead cross-disciplinary teams, and ensure contract compliance. The role emphasizes program and financial management across government projects, including ROM, CDRL, and status reporting.

Qualified candidates will hold an active DoD Secret clearance, be a U.S. citizen, and bring 3+ years in related programs with strong communication skills. On-site work five days a week.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• U.S. Citizenship due to clearance.
• BS in Business Administration or related field.
• 3+ years in project engineering, program management, or finance.
• Experience managing software development programs in defense/aerospace.
• Strong SLDC knowledge and MS Office proficiency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead program management support and finance tasks for Space & Intelligence programs.
• Serve as secondary customer contact for PM support and ROM/proposal work.
• Assist with contract management and setup in financial systems.
• Develop CDRL, track funding runout, and perform EAC/VAC analyses.
• Prepare monthly status reports and assist schedule development.
• Support program startup and ensure contract compliance.
• Manage 10+ personnel as a people manager.
