Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) is seeking a Project Manager to join our civil engineering and consulting teams. This entry point role supports senior PMs in planning, organizing, and executing construction materials testing projects.

You will learn to manage project documentation, allocate resources, and communicate with clients under supervision to set projects up for success. Primarily office-based with frequent field visits, safety is emphasized throughout.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related field, or equivalent amount of experience.
• A minimum of 1 year of project management experience in the construction or engineering industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in establishing project timelines and resource allocation, ensuring all phases are prepared to meet AET's standards for quality and efficiency.
• Coordinate the timely collection and testing of samples and materials with field and lab teams to maintain consistency with project requirements.
• Organize and update project documentation, including tracking sample data, maintaining field logs, and compiling test result summaries.
• Provide project updates to clients and internal teams under the supervision of senior project managers, ensuring client expectations are managed effectively.
• Monitor field safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards, assisting the project team in adhering to AET's safety and quality practices.
