Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Project Engineer 1 to support Advanced Facilities projects in El Paso, TX. The role focuses on applying construction fundamentals and company standards to manage tasks, punch lists, and self-perform work on Mission Critical projects.

The position emphasizes learning safety and quality plans, assisting with QA/QC processes, estimating, and coordinating on-site activities with the project team for successful project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Entry level construction experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; willing to work non-traditional hours and travel.

Responsibilities

• Learn and participate in safety and quality plans and culture, promoting an injury-free environment.
• Participate in project QA/QC planning to ensure quality for tasks.
• Assist with estimating and change management processes and tools, including quantity take-off.
• On-site support with project team for tasks like monitoring crew size, self-perform hours, materials, quantity and equipment.
• Prepare and disseminate project reports and required documentation.
