GOTAFE in Long Beach, CA is offering a student internship focused on construction administration. You will assist with general contract and subcontract administration, learn quality control programs, and help coordinate RFI postings and contract documents.

You will distribute construction information to the proper parties and work with PE(s), SPE(s), and APM(s) to assemble close-out documents such as O&M manuals and As-Builts.

Formación

• Current student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
• Strong desire to learn and develop new skills.
• Strong sense of teamwork and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Resourceful with problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Assist team with General Contract and Subcontract administration
• Learn about Quality Control programs and coordinate actions to address problems
• Control documents including RFI postings and contract documents
• Distribute construction information to appropriate parties
• Work with PE(s), SPE(s), and APM(s) to compile contract close-out documents such as O&M manuals and As-Builts
• Assist in preparation of a contract items list
• Research and suggest options on construction means, methods, and equipment
• Perform other duties as required or assigned
