Job summary

Valeo is seeking a Junior Project Buyer for a maternity leave cover at its Pianezza plant in Italy. The role supports the project lifecycle, sourcing strategies, supplier RFQ processes and end-to-end purchasing activities for electronics development projects.

The candidate will have a Bachelor or Master in Economics or Engineering, 6–9 months of purchasing experience, and bilingual Italian and English (French a plus).

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Economics or Engineering.
• 6–9 months experience in purchasing or procurement.
• Proactive, convincing, persistent, pragmatic and facilitator.
• Italian native language; fluent English; French would be a nice-to-have.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support all purchasing activities throughout the project lifecycle, from planning to closure.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with project goals to achieve quality, cost and delivery targets.
• Manage end-to-end supplier relationships, RFQ processes, bid-list selection, risk assessments, and supplier development.
• Forecast project purchasing performance, drive cost-saving initiatives and ensure a smooth transition from project to serial production.
