Job summary

Valeo is seeking a Productivity Buyer in McAllen, TX to drive materials productivity and cost reductions in liaison with the Business Group and Group organization. The role supports budget-aligned procurement for electronics/plastics commodities and works with segment leaders to achieve site negotiation objectives.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 4 years in purchasing, with SAP experience preferred and a focus on strategic sourcing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or similar.
• Minimum 4 years of purchasing experience in manufacturing.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Experience with electronics or plastics commodities preferred.
• Strong strategic sourcing and purchasing experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement technical/re-sourcing/logistics/VPS materials productivity and reservoir in line with budget requirements.
• Support commodity organization to reach site negotiation objectives.
• Drive material productivity actions and bring suppliers in, in line with budget timing.
• Monitor supplier relationships as Key Account Purchasing at a given supplier.
• Implement PG/PL worldwide materials standards at the site(s).
• Build up site budgets with Site Purchasing Manager and Segment Leaders.
