Job summary

Emerson Electric Co. is seeking a Production Scheduler to translate forecasts and customer requirements into a feasible monthly production plan.

You will collaborate with Sales, Product Management, and Manufacturing to optimize availability, minimize excess inventory, and align demand with capacity and material availability. You will analyze supply constraints, monitor build plans, and use planning systems to release work orders for assembly, testing, and related activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Two years of production planning experience preferred.
• Practical knowledge of supply chain processes including planning, forecasting, replenishment, and inventory control.
• Experience applying production planning principles in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of material requirements planning and manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Production, and Supply Chain to maintain a master production schedule that supports customer requirements.
• Support product planning, forecasting, and alignment with manufacturing capacity with the S&OP team.
• Evaluate material availability, inventory, and capacity to identify risks and propose solutions.
• Assess product availability and provide realistic shipment commitments for orders.
• Monitor forecast vs. actual demand and adjust plans to avoid excess inventory.
• Plan production materials and release scheduling messages for assembly, testing, and related work orders.
• Evaluate expedite requests based on material availability and capacity.
• Work with production leadership to monitor monthly build plans and adjust as needed.
• Develop analyses and metrics on lead time, throughput, schedule attainment, and inventory.
