Job summary

Emerson Electric Co. is seeking an experienced MPS/MRP Planner to develop and manage the Master Production Schedule and oversee MRP processes.

The role requires strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and a proactive approach to resolve scheduling constraints. The candidate will maintain ERP/MRP data, monitor material availability, and drive improvements to ensure on-time delivery and optimal inventory levels.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in production planning or 5+ with related degree.
• Experience with MPS and MRP in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute the Master Production Schedule to align demand, forecasts, inventory, and capacity.
• Analyze MRP messages, exception reports, demand changes, and supply constraints; implement corrective actions.
• Maintain ERP/MRP planning data including production schedules, lead times, lot sizes, safety stocks, and planning parameters.
• Monitor material availability and production readiness; coordinate with purchasing, production, inventory control, and customer service.
• Track schedule attainment, on-time delivery, inventory levels, and schedule adherence; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement to improve planning accuracy, schedule stability, and inventory optimization.
• Escalate significant risks and issues with analysis and recommended solutions.
