Job summary

AIRCO is seeking an Engineer I to join our Development team in New Britain, PA. The role focuses on process development, engineering documentation, and process flow, with hands-on lab and pilot plant work in a startup environment.

The ideal candidate has a Chemical Engineering degree and 0–2 years of related experience, plus exposure to process development and pilot operations. Onsite work in Pennsylvania is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Exposure to process development, pilot plant operations, scale-up, or process engineering beneficial.
• Familiarity with engineering, modeling, or data analysis tools such as AutoCAD, Aspen, Python, MATLAB or similar tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build hands-on familiarity with AIRCO’s lab and pilot plant operations through structured onsite training and project work.
• Develop process flow schemes with Senior Engineers/Technical Specialists.
• Develop engineering design templates and tools for equipment design.
• Review data, schematics, drawings, and process documentation for accuracy and quality.
• Support cross-functional development projects and technical problem-solving.
