Job summary

AIRCO is seeking a Lead Engineer, Process Design to guide engineering flowsheet development, simulations, and design across carbon dioxide conversion technologies. You will coordinate with R&D, operations, and EPCs to deliver design packages and ensure quality and safety in all work.

Based in New Britain, PA with on-site work and hybrid flexibility, you will mentor teams and drive engineering excellence while supporting technical decisions and project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering required; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience leading process design for refining, petrochemical, chemical, or gas processing.
• Proficiency with Aspen Plus and HYSYS for process modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of Process Design Packages for FEL/FEED/detailed engineering by EPCs.
• Oversee process synthesis, simulation, mass/heat balances, equipment selection, PFDs/P&IDs and datasheets.
• Act as primary liaison among R&D, operations, EPCs, customers and other disciplines.
• Support process-economic evaluations, cost estimates and technical decisions with clear analyses.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and EH&S regulations for AIRCO technologies.
• Represent AIRCO in external meetings and present engineering solutions.
• Develop engineering standards, mentor teams, and foster a safe, collaborative environment.
