Job summary

Broadmoor, LLC is seeking an Assistant Preconstruction Manager who develops conceptual, negotiated, and competitive-bid estimates and collaborates with Project Management, design teams, clients, and trade partners to produce precise budgets.

You will forecast cost, size, scope, and duration of projects, create detailed takeoffs, and support bids and buyouts using Excel and estimating tools; Revit/AutoCAD knowledge valued.

Qualifications

• Read construction documents, perform detailed quantity takeoffs, analyze subcontractor bids, and develop clear, accurate estimates.
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency with estimating and document-review tools.
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Acrobat is valued.
• Two or more years of professional experience in the architecture, engineering, or construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and forecast - Assist in forecasting the cost, size, scope, and duration of future construction projects.
• Plan project approach - Partner with Project Management to develop initial sequencing and identify labor, material, and equipment requirements.
• Perform quantity surveys - Read and interpret construction drawings, prepare detailed quantity takeoffs, and assemble bid packages for subcontractor pricing and contract development.
• Build project budgets - Develop detailed estimate spreadsheets and support the transfer of approved budgets into project-management systems.
• Analyze bids and support buyout - Evaluate subcontractor proposals, identify scope gaps, compare pricing, and assist with project buyout.
