Marand Builders Inc. is seeking an experienced Estimator with General Contractor experience to drive preconstruction, cost commercial projects from concept through bid. The role demands budgeting, reviewing drawings, coordinating with trade partners, and leading bids for projects up to $15M with travel to multiple job sites.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimation software, MS Office, blueprint reading, and a commitment to safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least ten years of experience in the commercial construction industry.
• Experience estimating projects up to $15M in healthcare, financial, and light industrial sectors with larger projects occasionally.
• Ability to manage more than 2 projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in project estimation software, MS Office, and blueprint reading.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and complete forecasts of project costs by reviewing drawings and specifications, gathering details, compiling data, and attending site visits before the estimate is due for submission including CSI division breakdown of costs and written assumptions/clarifications document.
• Consider raw materials, labor, equipment, tools, labor, and transportation for estimations.
• Help determine necessary resources for projects based on cost estimates and budgetary constraints.
• Analyze how long it will take for completion of the project.
• Develop and publish complete bid packages for all trade partners/vendors including scopes of work, alternates, allowances, breakouts, etc.
• Qualify all trade partner/vendor bids and level costs as deemed necessary for complete scope of work.
• Confidently review costs both internally and externally for client satisfaction and ultimate goal of successful award of the project.
• Lead estimating efforts for traditional Design‑bid‑build projects including hard bids and GC and Fees, etc.
• Assist with mentoring and leadership development of interns, coordinators and assistant estimators.
• Participate in professional organizations focused on contractors and subcontractors.
