Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking a plumbing/fire protection design associate to contribute to educational, healthcare, corporate and science & technology projects in Chicago. You will assist with piping design, BIM modeling, and coordination across disciplines under supervision.

The role favors candidates with ABET-accredited engineering training, familiarity with Revit, and strong teamwork and communication skills for multi-project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Engineering from an ABET-accredited program by hire date.
• Knowledge of heat transfer, solar energy and fluid dynamics in building systems.
• Internship experience in engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing piping, controls, and equipment for plumbing/fire protection systems.
• Model construction drawings in Revit/BIM from schematic to construction phases.
• Coordinate with specifications and support senior engineers on reports.
