Job summary

CannonDesign in St. Louis is seeking an entry-level Engineering Associate to support piping, controls and equipment selection for Plumbing/Fire Protection systems, and assist with HVAC design under supervision.

You will help with Revit/BIM modeling from schematic design to construction administration, coordinate with the design team, review submittals, and participate in site visits to verify conditions. The role emphasizes collaboration, communication and the ability to manage multiple projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering; ABET accreditation preferred.
• Knowledge of heat transfer, solar energy, and fluid dynamics in building systems.
• Related internship experience preferred.
• EIT or LEED accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design piping, controls and equipment selection for Plumbing/Fire Protection systems under supervision.
• Assist Revit/BIM modeling of construction drawings from schematic to construction administration; HVAC modeling as needed.
• Coordinate specifications with the design team and write draft reports for senior review.
• Review submittals and shop drawings for contract-doc compliance.
• Assist with site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.
