Job summary

HNTB’s Central States office seeks a Planner I to join the Integrated Planning Solutions team for Summer 2027 in Des Moines, IA. You will help gather and analyze data, develop reporting materials, and assist with planning studies from concept to completion.

You will use GIS and MS Office to compile results and support communication of findings to the project team, stakeholders, and public outreach efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, geography, engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency with GIS software and MS Office.
• Ability to compile, summarize, and present data for planning analyses.
• Experience supporting reports, maps, exhibits, and presentation materials.

Responsibilities

• Researches and collects raw data for projects and analyses.
• Performs project analysis with technical guidance and software.
