Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. invites you to start your grooming career as a Junior Pet Stylist in Grooming. You will undergo a ten-week training covering bathing, drying, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and more, guided by seasoned groomers.

Qualifications

0-1 year animal related experience or shelter volunteering is preferred.
HS diploma or GED is preferred, though not required.
Genuine passion for animals and a desire to pursue a career in pet grooming.
Effective verbal and written communication skills for interactions with pet parents and grooming team members.

Responsibilities

Perform limited grooming services under supervision: bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning.
Ensure the well-being and safety of every animal in the salon.
Interact professionally with pet parents and provide optimal customer service.
Maintain a clean and safe grooming area and sanitize tools and equipment.
Schedule grooming appointments and maintain accurate grooming records.
Learn and adhere to Petco grooming policies and guidelines to ensure safety and quality.
