Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is hiring a Junior Pet Stylist for Pet Grooming. Begin with a ten-week training period to learn bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing and related tasks under seasoned groomers.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of animal-related experience (shelter volunteering or pet sitting) or grooming salon assistance preferred.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred.
• Genuine passion for animals and grooming career.

Responsibilities

• Under close supervision, perform limited grooming services (bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, ear cleaning, gland cleaning).
• Ensure the wellbeing and safety of every animal in the salon.
• Interact professionally with pet parents and provide customer service.
• Maintain a clean and safe grooming area and sanitize tools.
• Schedule grooming appointments and manage paperwork.
• Learn and follow grooming policies and guidelines.
