Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is looking for a Junior Pet Stylist in grooming to learn bathing, drying, and nail trimming under seasoned groomers. You’ll gain hands-on experience during a ten-week training program with guidance from experienced staff and a focus on safety and animal well-being.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or GED is preferred, though not required.
• 0-1 year of animal related experience, including shelter volunteering or pet sitting.
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required by the grooming schedule.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform limited grooming services (bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing) according to instructions.
• Ensure well-being and safety of every animal in the salon.
• Interact professionally with pet parents, provide optimal customer service, address inquiries.
• Maintain a clean and safe grooming area, sanitize tools, and perform cleaning duties as assigned.
• Schedule grooming appointments, manage paperwork, and keep accurate grooming records.
• Learn and adhere to Petco grooming policies and guidelines for safety and consistency.
