Role Summary
The Junior Outside Account Manager will support a tenured Regional Sales Manager by managing and growing our customer base, with a focus on key accounts in Texas. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional seeking mentorship and immediate contribution to customer success. Responsibilities include providing timely support, building relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of outside sales experience, preferably in HVAC, with a proven track record calling on distributors as a manufacturer’s representative.
Main Tasks
- Customer Support:
- Provide timely support to customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues to ensure satisfaction.
- Act as liaison between customers and internal teams for smooth communication.
- Sales Support:
- Assist in developing and executing sales strategies to meet targets.
- Conduct customer visits to maintain relationships with key accounts.
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities.
- Product Knowledge:
- Develop understanding of product line, features, benefits, and applications.
- Educate customers and recommend products based on needs.
- Market Intelligence:
- Gather and report on market activities, competitor actions, customer feedback, and industry trends.
- Use insights to refine sales strategies and improve support.
- Administrative Duties:
- Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and documentation as required.
Your Profile
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of outside sales experience, preferably in HVAC.
- Experience calling on distributors as a manufacturer’s rep is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and in teams.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Must be located in Texas; willing to travel up to 50%, primarily overnight, within the Western US.
- Proficiency in CRM and Microsoft Office Suite.
