Job summary

Datavail is seeking a Junior Oracle DBA to support managed service engagements and ensure performance, availability, and security of production Oracle databases. You will work with a team of DBAs to optimize production systems, tackle complex challenges, and contribute to a DBaaS offering in a customer-facing role.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of Oracle experience, familiarity with RMAN, RAC/Data Guard, and cloud platforms (AWS/OCI/Azure).

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience supporting Oracle databases.
• Understanding of Oracle concepts and architecture.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows administration.
• Experience with backup and recovery using RMAN.
• Exposure to RAC and Data Guard high availability.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, OCI, Azure) preferred.
• Scripting/automation skills (SQL, Shell, Python, PowerShell) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for managed service engagements.
• Optimize production Oracle databases for performance and reliability.
• Assist in building a DBaaS offering with senior DBAs.
• Follow ITIL processes for incidents and changes.
• Collaborate with enterprise clients and cross-functional teams.
