Job summary

The Building People is seeking a Systems/Junior Furniture Installer/Mover to support modular office furniture installation, reconfiguration, repair, relocation, and inventory activities. This role works under project leads to ensure furniture systems are installed accurately and safely while delivering excellent customer service.

You will read installation drawings, assist with moves and workspace reconfiguration, coordinate with Space Planners, and help maintain warehouse areas.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and reconfiguring modular office furniture systems.
• Knowledge of AO2, Canvas, and other major systems.
• Experience handling, storing, and transporting systems furniture.
• Ability to follow installation plans and instructions.
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to undergo background check and government clearance.

Responsibilities

• Install, reconfigure, and relocate modular office furniture systems.
• Support furniture repair and maintenance activities.
• Assist with furniture inventory management and staging operations.
• Read and follow installation drawings and specifications.
• Assist with office moves and workspace reconfiguration projects.
• Move furniture, crates, office equipment, and related materials safely.
• Coordinate with Space Planners and installation teams to complete workspace projects.
• Help maintain organized warehouse and staging areas.
• Follow established workplace safety procedures and furniture handling standards.
• Provide professional customer service in occupied office environments.
