Job summary

Leidos is seeking an entry-level Offensive Cyber Engineer to join our team in Lawton, OK. You will assist in conducting security assessments, support penetration testing, and collaborate with detection engineering teams to improve threat detection.

Responsibilities include developing automation scripts, supporting tests across enterprise and government environments, and contributing to technical documentation and remediation recommendations. On-site work and potential travel are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical discipline as listed.
• Foundational knowledge of Linux distributions and Windows operating systems.
• Basic scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Foundational understanding of TCP/IP, routing, ports and cybersecurity basics.
• Willingness to work on-site in Lawton, OK and travel to testing events as required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing basic automation scripts and proof-of-concept exploits.
• Support senior engineers in executing penetration tests and vulnerability assessments.
• Collaborate with CRS and detection engineering to translate offensive findings into detection rules.
• Participate in operational testing events and validate security tools.
• Review technical docs and system architectures with senior staff.
• Contribute to after-action reports and remediation recommendations.
