Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company is seeking a Junior NOC Network Administrator to monitor and manage servers and core services within a federal IT environment. You will follow runbooks, perform routine patches, backups, and access tasks, and document changes for audits.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 0–3 years in NOC or similar infra ops, and US citizenship with a current SECRET clearance. DoD 8180 IAT-II certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 0-3 years of junior system administration, NOC support, or similar infra operations roles.
• Foundational understanding of system administration concepts (Windows/Linux).
• Training or practical experience with monitoring tools, ticketing systems, backups, and virtualization.

Responsibilities

• Monitor servers, OS, and core services; review alerts and update tickets based on impact.
• Execute standard operating procedures for patching, configuration changes, and backups.
• Troubleshoot common issues and escalate beyond runbook guidance when needed.
• Document system configurations, changes, and incidents for auditability and handoffs.
• Participate in incident response, backup/recovery, and security-related monitoring tasks.
• Collaborate with network and security teams to diagnose and restore services.
• Ensure adherence to incident, change, and configuration management processes.
