The Ohio Department of Medicaid, located in Columbus, seeks a Junior .NET/SharePoint Developer to join our Application Development Team. You will help maintain, enhance, and support our enterprise SharePoint environment and related business solutions.

You will work with senior developers and staff to ensure ODM systems are reliable and aligned with evolving business needs. This role requires strong C#/.NET and SharePoint skills and a willingness to learn SPFx, React, Node.js, and related tools.

Qualifications

  • 48 mos. combined work experience in designing and performing systems analysis, developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications, and assisting with documentation.
  • 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description.

Responsibilities

  • Provisioning user access, roles, profiles, and permissions to ensure secure system access.
  • Performing administration activities including creating site collections and configuring sites to support business requirements.
  • Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and recommending improvements.
  • Supporting testing phases: system, integration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Performing data management activities such as migration and normalization.
  • Developing customized reports and dashboards to support business needs.
  • Participating in release management to ensure high quality deployments.

Job Overview:

The Ohio Department of Medicaid is seeking a Junior .NET/SharePoint Developer to join our Application Development Team. In this role, you will help maintain, enhance, and support our enterprise SharePoint environment and related business solutions. You will work closely with senior developers and program area staff to ensure ODM systems remain reliable, efficient, and aligned with evolving business needs. As a Junior .NET/SharePoint Developer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Provisioning user access, roles, profiles, and permissions to ensure secure and appropriate system access.
  • Performing administration activities that include creating site collections, configuring collaboration sites, pages, and components to support business requirements.
  • Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and recommending improvements to optimize functionality.
  • Supporting various phases of testing, including system, integration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Performing data management activities (e.g. migration, normalization).
  • Developing customized reports and dashboards to support business needs.
  • Participating in release management processes to ensure high quality deployments.
  • Staying current on SharePoint technologies, new features, and best practices to continually enhance ODM's SharePoint environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Basic understanding of SharePoint administration (e.g. sites & site collections, document libraries, lists, web parts & pages, permissions, roles, profiles, workflows & power platform tools).
  • Interest in developing Visual Studio skillsets using C#, SPFx framework, and other 3rd party tools including React, Node.JS, and Gulp.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems; 24 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: designing and performing systems analysis, developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications recommending application solutions and/or testing and correcting programs as it relates to testing and implementation and assisting with documentation including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
